NICOC registers 60,000m of drilling during last year

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (MNA) — The National Iranian Central Oilfields Company (NICOC) has succeeded to carry out drilling operations on 20 development and 14 repair wells located in the central Iran region, to put the total drilling caliber carried out by the company during last year at 60,000 meters.

Seven gas wells ranging from 18 to 500 meters deep have been worked over in Shanul gas field; six other wells each 16,000 meters deep were drilled in Varawi and Homa gas fields, noted Asghar Rafii, head of the Drilling Bureau of NICOC.

 

ôDrilling operations on three oil wells located in Sarkan, Maleh Kuh, Paydar Sharq and two wells in Naftshahr as well as two horizontal wells in Cheshmeh Khosh were performed last year.?

 

Also, he added that some 2,450 meters of drillings were made on 14 wells in Gavarzin, Naftshahr, Khangiran, Sarajeh Qom, Varawi, Homa and Shanul last year.
